Nutrition is never an afterthought at Divine Pups.We carefully consider genetics, temperament, early development, socialization, training, and health. Ā We believe what goes into our puppies’ bowls deserves that same level of intention. That is why PawTree dog food has become part of our nutritional program.

Why PawTree Dog Food Fits Our Nutrition Philosophy

One of the things we appreciate about PawTree dog food is the company’s emphasis on named animal proteins and clearly identified ingredients. The Real Whitefish & Brown Rice recipe we use begins with real whitefish as its first ingredient and contains no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The recipe was developed with veterinarians and professionals with advanced education in animal science and pet nutrition.

For us, that matters. We don’t simply want calories in a bowl. We want purposeful nutrition supporting puppies during one of the most important developmental periods of their lives.

PawTree Dog Food Goes Beyond the Ingredient List

As we discussed earlier in this series, an ingredient panel is important—but it isn’t the entire story. We also care about what happens behind the scenes.

PawTree reports that its foods undergo industry-standard testing including microbiological testing, guaranteed-analysis testing, stability testing, digestibility studies, and palatability testing. The company also reports using quality-control systems that include Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation procedures, lot segregation, and a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points—or HACCP—plan. That additional attention to quality control is one of the reasons PawTree dog food fits the standards we have established for our program.

Why We Add Freeze-Dried Raw

Our approach isn’t limited to kibble.

We also incorporate PawTree freeze-dried raw food, including beef, to provide another source of animal-based nutrition and whole-food ingredients.

The Real Beef Freeze-Dried Raw recipe contains beef, beef liver, beef heart, beef bone broth, fruits, vegetables, and other nutrients. PawTree identifies the recipe as 78% beef and organs and 22% fruits, vegetables, and other nutrients. The recipe is also listed as GMO-free and uses a single animal-protein source.

Freeze-drying gives families a convenient way to incorporate raw-style nutrition without the preparation associated with a traditional raw diet.

Why Nutrition Matters From Puppyhood

A puppy’s body is doing an extraordinary amount of work during those first months. Bones are developing. Muscles are growing. The immune and digestive systems are maturing. The brain is developing. Skin and coat are changing.

That is why PawTree dog food is only one part of our bigger philosophy. We believe good health begins long before a puppy goes home. At Divine Pups, thoughtful breeding, health testing, early development, appropriate socialization, temperament evaluation, training, and nutrition all work together.

PawTree Dog Food: Know What You’re Feeding

Ultimately, this entire nutrition series comes down to one idea: Know what you’re putting in your dog’s bowl.

Turn the package over. Read the ingredients. Research the company. Understand how its products are formulated and tested. Don’t choose food simply because the packaging looks impressive or because a commercial tells you it is ā€œpremium.ā€

We choose PawTree dog food because its ingredient philosophy, named proteins, formulation practices, testing, and available freeze-dried raw options align with the nutritional standards we want for our Divine Pups. Because raising puppies intentionally doesn’t stop with breeding or training. It includes how we nourish them, too.
